Message just before LuckyFes'26
8/6/2026, 12:00 PM
LuckyFes'26 finally kicks off this weekend.
We are truly delighted to welcome wonderful artists and friends from all over Japan to Hitachi Seaside Park again this year. With the event just around the corner, we would like to introduce five highlights that we hope you will pay attention to in order to make LuckyFes even more enjoyable.
1) Japan's first summer festival will be held for four consecutive days, featuring a star-studded lineup.
150 top artists from across generations and genres, including TUBE, BABYMETAL, NEWS, FRUITS ZIPPER, ILLIT, MAN WITH A MISSION, Dragon Ash, NiziU, and Takanori Nishikawa, will be performing. A diverse range of genres, including rock, J-POP, idol music, and hip hop, will come together to provide music that everyone, from children to adults, can enjoy all day long. Come and experience the artists' best performances and have fun with us! LuckyFes
2) Aiming to be the most comfortable summer festival in Japan!
One of the biggest attractions of LuckyFes is its superb location at Hitachi Seaside Park. Enjoy music under the blue sky, surrounded by lawns and shaded trees, while being cooled by the sea breeze. This sense of freedom is something you won't find at any other festival. In addition, it's only about a 15-minute shuttle bus ride from Katsuta Station, and there are 5,600 parking spaces available, so you can come comfortably and stress-free whether you're with family or alone. Furthermore, in addition to the five principles for preventing heatstroke ( https://luckyfes.com/guideline ), we will be distributing 10,000 salt candies at the entrance, and if the temperature exceeds 32 degrees Celsius, we will be spraying water in front of the Great Grassland Stage. Enjoy LuckyFes, truly Japan's most comfortable summer festival.
3) Aiming to become Asia's largest theme park-style festival!
LuckyFes aims to be a "festival of music, food, and art." In addition to the music mentioned earlier, there is also plenty of art and gourmet food. This year, we've added two more Lucky Monster balloons, bringing the total to six. Be sure to remember their names and enjoy! Another attraction of LuckyFes is the unique cuisine of Ibaraki Prefecture. This year, we've increased the number of vendors by 20% to 50. In addition to Lucky Dining, we've added PLAZA Kitchen, GARDEN Kitchen, and HILLS Kitchen, each with a drink station and numerous benches. Furthermore, we have a well-equipped kids' area. And every night, the grand finale of LuckyFes is the "LuckyFes Star Light Show"! 600 fireworks light up the night sky in 6 minutes, synchronized with the music. It's not just music, there's food, art, and kids too. LuckyFes is truly a theme park.
4) Upgrades unique to our 5th anniversary!
This year, we've completely revamped all four main stages: RAINBOW STAGE, WING STAGE, GARDEN STAGE, and HILLS STAGE. The RAINBOW STAGE is the largest in Japan in terms of height and area. Both stages in the vast plain now have LED screens on both sides (compared to one side last year), and also a rear screen (last year only RAINBOW had one). The RAINBOW STAGE also has an LED screen and speakers behind the FOH (Facility Director's House). The toilets have also been made more comfortable with covers. We've made significant upgrades based on requests from our Friends last year.
5) LuckyFes created by everyone: "We gotta do it!"
LuckyFes was started four and a half years ago by complete music novices who thought, "We gotta do it!" LuckyFes is evolving, breaking the conventions of typical festivals. Above all, what defines LuckyFes is that it's created by all working together as one: artists, staff, local community and sponsors, and all the friends. The smiles of people making an L-shape with their right hand and saying "LuckyFes!" are what give this festival its value. We hope to see you at the venue and say hello to LuckyFes! We're really looking forward to it!
Meanwhile, we extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake. The earthquake struck during a period of intense heat, and we are deeply concerned about the health of those forced to live in evacuation centers. At LuckyFes, we wanted to take immediate action to help those affected and those engaged in rescue and support activities on the ground, so we have decided to launch a donation site within the framework of the KIBOW Foundation. Signs and the URL of the donation site will be placed at the venue, and we would be grateful for your support.
The forecast for the day is for a high of 28 to 31 degrees Celsius, which will be very pleasant. Let's enjoy the best four days with safety as our top priority, while taking sufficient precautions against heatstroke, such as staying hydrated and taking frequent breaks.
See you at LuckyFes! (^^)/
