To all LuckyFes Friends
LuckyFes'26 came to a close a day earlier than planned, with 600 fireworks lighting up the night sky.
LuckyFes'26, which we had been preparing under the banner of "Japan's first summer festival to be held for four consecutive days," was unfortunately canceled on the final day due to the typhoon, and ended after three consecutive days. We are deeply sorry that we were unable to welcome the artists and Friends to LuckyFes on the final day. It was a difficult decision, but we felt it was important to make an early decision and inform our Friends promptly, so we held emergency meetings intermittently on the day and ultimately consulted with the park management to decide on the cancellation, and were able to inform our Friends of the cancellation around 6 PM.
The following evening, on the 11th (Tuesday, a public holiday), a typhoon made landfall in Ibaraki Prefecture for the first time in recorded history, causing power outages to over 10,000 households throughout the prefecture and partially suspending service on the Joban Line. The thought of what would have happened if the event had been held sends shivers down my spine. I was reminded once again of the importance of making decisions with safety as the top priority.
However, my honest feelings right now can only be described as "regret." I feel so sorry that I couldn't provide a platform for the artists who prepared for LuckyFes to showcase their talents, and that I couldn't invite all of you friends who bought tickets looking forward to LuckyFes. I really wanted to meet you all and have a great time together, making an L-shape with my right hand while saying "lucky."
Nevertheless, this year, 87,500 Friends visited over the three days, including weekdays. We will cherish the feelings of the more than 20,000 Friends we couldn't meet on the final day (a total of over 100,000 people), and we will work hard from today to grow even more. Please look forward to an even more powerful LuckyFes next year.
Now that a few days have passed since LuckyFes'26 concluded, I'd like to give a summary of LuckyFes'26.
1) Artists and the stage:
The first day began with Shinako, followed by FRUITS ZIPPER, NEWS, and TUBE, and the final three acts on the second day were CANDY TUNE, NiziU, and BABYMETAL. The third and final day was a blast with Takanori Nishikawa, Houshou Marin & Hakos Veils, and finally, FLOW as the headliner. We extend our deepest gratitude to all of the more than 110 artists who participated. It was fantastic.
And above all, I think the newly renovated stage had a huge impact. Last year, there was feedback that the curved shape of the RAINBOW stage, which was outside the stage, was obstructing the view, so we moved it completely inside the stage. Since there was a curve anyway, we put LEDs inside the curve. The RAINBOW stage is the largest in Japan when you consider its height and area. We also enlarged the LEDs on both sides and put up LEDs behind the FOH. In addition, we extended the screens on both sides of the WING and, for the first time, installed a rear screen in front of the wings. The GARDEN was also beautifully decorated, emphasizing roses and pillars. As per the concept of a live house in the forest, the HILLS was lively in front of the stage, and the slope of the hill created an environment where Friends could enjoy the music.
In addition to the two balloon sculptures, there are a total of six artworks. Now in its fifth year, I think the festival has truly become a celebration of music, art, and food.
2) Significant improvements to meet Friends' requests:
Last year's LuckyFes faced significant operational challenges. We addressed five major areas for improvement: reducing queues at dining and drink stations, improving restroom facilities, easing congestion at merchandise booths, addressing communication issues, and improving the front area and the app.
We increased the number of food and beverage outlets by 20% to a total of 50, and added three kitchens in addition to Lucky Dining, located in PLAZA, GARDEN, and HILLS. We also placed numerous benches in the four locations (dining areas and kitchens combined) and improved the operation of the drink stations.
We covered the toilets in PLAZA (on the third day, we raised the side curtains due to strong winds), set up forest toilets in FOREST, and removed the toilets in GARDEN from the main traffic flow. We also worked with partner companies to ensure cleanliness at all times. At the merchandise booths, we increased the number of booths for artists where long lines were expected, installed fences, and made it easier to see the end of the line, which I think helped reduce stress. We also asked each company to significantly increase the number of base stations, and we have not received any reports of large-scale communication failures. The app was also well-received. We also ensured a large pathway from GARDEN to the Great Plains, so I think movement between performances was smooth.
The survey results suggest that the improvements implemented were quite successful.
3) Points for reflection:
However, at this point, I believe significant improvements are needed in at least the following two areas. First, security. We deeply regret the security around the stage and have apologized to the artists who were inconvenienced, but I would like to take this opportunity to apologize again.
We also acknowledge that our efforts to raise awareness regarding the use of chairs and other measures within the venue were insufficient. Next year, we plan to further increase security personnel to create an even safer, more secure, and comfortable environment.
Regarding the front area, we've made considerable efforts, such as improving the app and consolidating the waiting area into one, but challenges still remain. Our commitment to LuckyFes is to allow our fans to enjoy themselves freely within safe limits, so we haven't made the front area reserved. This makes it more difficult, but next year we want to make further improvements, such as having at least the first 200 people wait earlier and strictly enforcing the rules, so that there will be no complaints.
Our goal is to create the most comfortable summer festival in Japan, or even the world. We would like to further improve it based on feedback from our fans, so we would appreciate your frank opinions in the following survey.

Next year, we plan to hold the event on July 31st (Saturday), August 1st (Sunday), and August 7th (Saturday) and 8th (Sunday), for a total of four days over two weekends. We would be grateful if all our friends could mark these dates on their schedules now.
I'll say this again (for the third time), but this year the final day was cancelled, and I'm truly sorry to the artists who were scheduled to perform and to all the friends who were planning to attend. Next year, we hope to use this disappointment as motivation to come back even stronger and meet you all again.
We will continue to prioritize the safety and security of our friends, artists, and staff, and take each step towards our goal of becoming "Asia's largest theme park-style festival."
