Born in Ibaraki, Japan, Ashley is a next-generation bilingual singer with Japanese and American heritage, seamlessly switching between English and Japanese. In 2022, she made her debut with “Ghost” under JCC TOKYO, a label known for producing top Japanese hip-hop and R&B artists. Her follow-up track, “KARMA feat. Jin Dogg”, became an exceptional long-running hit for a newcomer. She continued her rise with her third single, “Kuseni Naru feat. Hideyoshi”, and in 2023, she released her first EP, “DRAFT ONE”, which topped the iTunes Japan R&B chart and even charted virally overseas. Soon after, she achieved a major milestone by performing at POP YOURS, Japan’s largest hip-hop festival, in record time after her debut. Ashley’s collaborations have also drawn significant attention, including “Mirror feat. CYBER RUI”, “STYLE feat. Ashley, Bonbero & Tade Dust”, and tracks with D.LEAGUE team KADOKAWA DREAMS. In 2024, her first-ever R&B ballad, “I Pray”, with lyrics by Miliyah Kato, became a smash hit. She followed up with her first summer anthem, “OASIS feat. ZENDAMAN”, and performed at major festivals such as Lucky FES and AH1. In October, she released her highly anticipated second EP, “Focus”. Her presence in the entertainment industry continued to grow as she became a regular on “Kinashi Record”, a new music variety show hosted by Noritake Kinashi (Tunnels) on ABEMA. Entering 2025, she also gained recognition in acting, appearing in the Netflix drama “Mogura: Tokyo Narcotics Squad”, which ranked No.1 in Japan. In March, she released her latest single “Grown Up” along with a special sped-up BEST EP “Time Flies”, featuring select past releases, which has been enjoying long-term success. Currently, Ashley also serves as the MC for “Lucky HipHop”, a radio show airing every Friday at 19:30 on LuckyFM Ibaraki Broadcasting.
