LuckyFM Ibaraki Broadcasting Corporation (Headquarters: Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture) will collaborate with TuneCore Japan to hold an audition, ‘Battle to LuckyFes’25,’ for performance rights at the ‘LuckyFes’25’ music festival. The festival will take place at the National Hitachi Seaside Park (Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture) on the three-day weekend of August 9 (Saturday), 10 (Sunday), and 11 (Monday, public holiday).

This year, we will once again use TuneCore’s audition platform to recruit music from indie artists. The application period for music submissions is from 12:00 PM on February 7 (Friday) to 11:59 PM on February 28 (Friday), for a duration of 3 weeks. Those who pass the music review will proceed to the video review and then to a live house audition. In the final stage, up to three groups will earn the chance to perform on the stage at LuckyFes’25. Additionally, a prize of 100,000 yen will be awarded to the winners.

The audition process will be regularly featured on LuckyFM, and the artists who are selected to perform at the festival will also be invited to appear on the program prior to the LuckyFes’25 event.

Last year’s ‘Battle to LuckyFes’ had a total of 1,928 song entries, and three artists (Ashley, Jonah Gold, and Chita Henry) ultimately advanced to LuckyFes’24. Among them, Ashley has expanded her presence, also serving as the personality for our program ‘Lucky Hip Hop.’

To all the aspiring artists out there, come join the ‘Battle to LuckyFes’25’ and make your mark at the evolving LuckyFes. Let’s spend an exciting summer together!
