Klang Ruler
Klang Ruler is a five-piece band that champions New Age Pop Music, creating sounds that feel both nostalgic and refreshingly new — transporting listeners across different eras through their sonic craftsmanship.
Formed in 2015 by vocalist and trackmaker yonkey, who has produced hits such as Atarashii Gakko!’s “Otonablue,” the band also includes fellow music school classmates SimiSho (Dr.) and Takumi Kato (Ba.).
In 2019, they launched their YouTube cover project “MIDNIGHT SESSION,” and in 2021, after collaborating on the series, vocalist/designer Chihiro Yasuda and guitarist Gyoshi officially joined the group.
That same year, their first release from MIDNIGHT SESSION, “Timing ~Timing~,” surpassed 2 billion streams, holding the #1 spot on the TikTok Weekly Top 20 for five consecutive weeks, setting a new record. Their reinterpretations of classic songs with cutting-edge arrangements have made MIDNIGHT SESSION a viral sensation.
In 2024, Klang Ruler released their first album “Space Age” and first EP “Unbelievable EP.” The title track “Unbelievable” was featured as the ending theme for the TBS anime Trillion Game.
In March 2025, their song “Teenage Blue”, posted on social media before its official release, went viral with over 10 million views, and was later released digitally on May 3. Starting in June, the band embarked on their largest-ever 17-city nationwide tour, concluding with the announcement of their upcoming 2026 “Magnet+ TOUR,” which will expand into Asia — signaling their growing global reach and attention.
