LuckyFM Ibaraki Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture) held the final round of the audition event “Battle to LuckyFes,” which offers artists the chance to perform at LuckyFes’25. The three artists selected were Yumeno Kishimoto, Sayaka Fukushima, and JUGEM. LuckyFes’25 will be held during the three-day holiday from Saturday, August 9 to Monday, August 11 at Hitachi Seaside Park in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki.

Out of 1,328 entries, eight finalists—Yumeno Kishimoto, THENEWLEVEL, JUGEM, STAP Sigh Boys, Destiny Hope Tiara, night roomers, Haruki Hamano, and Sayaka Fukushima (listed in Japanese syllabary order)—advanced to the final after passing the audio and video screening stages. The final event was held on Sunday, June 15 at Club SONIC in Mito. The judging panel consisted of five members: LuckyFes Executive Producer DJ DRAGON, Chief Coordinator Mana Mizumura, LuckyFM Programming & Events Leader Takashi Kamogawa, TuneCore Japan’s Takumi Nobe, and BARKS’ Tetsuya Karasuma. Audience votes from the 150 attendees were also factored into the final results.

The three winners will perform as opening acts (O.A) at LuckyFes’25: Yumeno Kishimoto on Saturday, August 9, Sayaka Fukushima on Sunday, August 10, and JUGEM on Monday, August 11. Details on their performance times and stages will be announced at a later date. Notably, Ashley, who performed as an O.A last year, now has her own radio program on LuckyFM and will be returning to LuckyFes this year as a featured artist.

We sincerely thank all the artists who participated in “Battle to LuckyFes.” The final round at Club SONIC in Mito was sold out, and the passionate cheers from fans, supporters, and Friends created a truly electric atmosphere.

Each of the eight performances was impressive and made the judging incredibly difficult. The final results, which combined judges’ scores and audience votes, came down to the wire. The performances were of such high quality that any one of the finalists could have been crowned the winner.

I’m truly excited to see how these three selected artists will captivate the crowd on the main LuckyFes stage. I wish them even greater success moving forward.
