LuckyFM Ibaraki Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture) is pleased to announce that the comedy duo Oswald has been chosen as the main MCs for LuckyFes’25, to be held during the three-day holiday on August 9 (Sat), 10 (Sun), and 11 (Mon, public holiday) at Hitachi Seaside Park. Now in its fourth year, LuckyFes will once again feature LuckyFM announcers alongside the duo on the “Leverages presents RAINBOW STAGE”, bringing fun and excitement between the musical performances.

Oswald is a highly skilled comedy duo who earned the runner-up title in the 2021 M-1 Grand Prix, Japan’s top manzai (stand-up comedy) competition. They are also in high demand on variety shows across the country. On LuckyFM, they serve as the hosts of the weekly radio program “Leverages presents MUSIC COUNTDOWN 10&10”, airing every Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This year, the show will once again feature songs by LuckyFes performers, helping to build excitement for the festival.

About Oswald

Oswald is a comedy duo composed of Shunsuke Itō and Haruki Hatanaka, affiliated with Yoshimoto Kogyo. Since their formation in 2014, they have been active across various fields including television, radio, and live performances nationwide. Their signature style features a unique, talk-heavy approach to manzai (traditional Japanese stand-up comedy). In 2021, they won the 42nd ABC Comedy Grand Prix. They also reached the finals of the prestigious M-1 Grand Prix for four consecutive years starting in 2019, and were named runners-up in 2021.

Alongside Oswald, LuckyFM announcers will also serve as co-hosts for LuckyFes. Yuu Kemuyama will take the stage on August 9, followed by Reina Kosuge on August 10, and Mai Kikuchi on August 11. We hope you’ll join us to create unforgettable summer memories together at LuckyFes!
